April 9-13, 2024
Located 54 miles from the Huntsville International airport, and 88 miles from the Birmingham International airport.
Check in begins Tuesday at 12 noon. You will be shown to your room, and your assigned stamping seat. You are welcome to begin stamping, and stamp all night if you wish! The opening orientation is Tuesday evening, with the Secrets to Success class, (complimentary for first time attendees) to follow.
Your personal space (also called “seat” or “station”) is one half of an 8′ banquet table (4′ x 30″). Your personal supplies should fit on or under this, with anything extra being stored in your room or vehicle. It is surprising how much will fit in this area. Aisles must be free of obstructions. Electricity can be provided at your seat, BUT can only be used for a small personal light. If you wish to eliminate shadows on your work, a small, personal OTT light is perfect. We also offer these for rent, if you do not own one and don’t want to purchase one. NO heat guns or other electric appliances can be connected here.
Attendees should come prepared to adjust to the room temperature by layering their clothing. Everyone is encouraged to bring a variety of comfortable clothes that they can easily layer on and off to make the appropriate adjustments.
We will offer optional activities. This will include an optional ATC swap (pre-registration required), a benefit card contest, break out classes, etc.
WHAT TO BRING
Your retreat fee provides you shared access to thousands of stamps and basic tools. The tool table includes a paper trimmer, scoring board, ruler, Cuttlebug (or comparable, for you to use with YOUR dies or folders), heat gun and electric pencil sharpener. Stamp cleaner and rags are provided at each table.
Attendees are responsible for all of their consumables. This includes papers, ink, coloring products (pencils, pan pastels, markers, etc.), adhesive, masking materials (such as eclipse tape), wet wipes, etc. Additionally, they need their own detail scissors, an assortment of acrylic blocks with the means to attach unmounted stamps (if this is new to you, please contact Tonya for info), and/or platforms. Other optional items would include blending tips, stylus handles, stipple brushes, all supplies required for classes, and any other product or tool that you feel you will want to use.
IF PARTICIPATING IN BREAK OUT CLASSES, PLEASE CHECK SUPPLY LIST FOR EACH CLASS.
PRE-ORDERS. Attendees will have the option of pre-ordering supplies to be picked up at the retreat (no shipping). Everything we will be using, and probably anything you may need to purchase, is available from Peddlers Den.
Additionally, we have an extensive on-site store. This allows you to shop for stamps, inks, papers, clearance items and a wide variety of other products and supplies. Our on-site store will be open from Noon on Tuesday until 9:00 am on Saturday. Retreat attendees will run a tab, and settle up with us before they leave. We will accept cash, or we can accept payments using plastic through PayPal or Square.
MEALS & SNACKS
We are providing a continental breakfast with optional eggs for those who are staying on-site, and a complimentary “crock pot” meal for dinner on Tuesday. You are on your own for the rest of your meals. We provide what we call a Hospitality Table, which includes select snacks and water. ALL beverages taken into the retreat area MUST be in containers with screw on lids. Those staying on-site are welcome to bring their own snacks, tea bags, cocoa mix, etc. They will have access to the microwave and hot water in our kitchen.
Because there are so many people with dietary restrictions, additional meals are not included. We are located just outside of Scottsboro AL, and there are many meal options nearby.
SMOKE FREE BUILDING
There will be no smoking inside of the building OR outdoors near any entrances/windows, etc. This includes ALL areas, lodging, retreat and common areas. There is NO food or drink (other than water) allowed in the hotel rooms.
We do offer a payment plan, allowing you to budget for your stamping vacation and make monthly payments. Please contact Tonya for complete details, or to register to make payments.
While we hope that nobody has to cancel, we understand that sometimes unexpected circumstances happen.

ACTS OF GOD, BEYOND OUR CONTROL
Peddlers Den’s retreat may be cancelled or postponed without liability due to any fire, flood, act of God, or other unforeseen circumstances that render it not feasible to conduct, including, but not limited to acts of terrorism, labor disputes, wars, military actions, illness, death and government restrictions due to public health concerns or otherwise. In these situations, there are no assurances of any form of credits or refunds, although Peddlers Den strives to always do as much as possible to remediate.
